Water Detox Diet




Water detox diet often is refered to as a fast or a water fast. Water is the most essential thing to human life next to air. It is made up of Two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen.

It is a tasteless and odorless clear liquid, regulates the body temperature, helps in metabolism and absorbtion of food and eliminates wastes.It also acts as a lubricant also preventing constipation.

Nutrients and oxygen are transported to your cells by water, while helping you maintain muscle tone.

The body is made up of about 2/3 water. Anywhere between 55-75%. The human brain is made up approximately 95% water, blood is 82% and the lungs are about 90% water.

By the time water reaches your home as drinking water it will have come into contact with many chemicals, and many organic or inorganic materials and contaminants.

Also some public water sources are treated with chlorine to remove some of these contaminants ,possibly leaving behind other residual by-products not good for humans.

Most people don,t drink enough water. It is recommended that we drink 6-8 glasses daily. It,s obvious to see why purified water is recommended for our drinking water in this day and age.

Water detox or fasting on the other hand is a method of detox chosen by many individuals, hoping to detox parts or all of there bodies or possibly using this as a weight loss method.

With this type of detox it is possible to lose approximately 2.5 lbs.daily. It is possible to lose more if you are exceptionally overweight.

Because of this many individuals will think that this is the ideal detox or fast, but little do they know that this is not true. It can be considered as one of the destructive things you can do to your body.

You may lose some weight (temporarily) but also may gain some added health problems. The body also develops a negative nitrogen balance and begins to break down lean muscle tissue, including your cardiac muscle!

This starving of the body will only in turn rebound the other way, and when regular food is introduced into the diet, your body will take that food and store as much of it as possible. This will then cause a rapid weight gain. Most likely more weight will be gained than was lost in the first place.

The only way to properly detox is with one of the other methods discussed & drinking plenty of purified water to aid in the detox.
