Liver Detox Diet
The liver detox diet, is the bodies best way of detoxifying or removing toxins or foreign substances.The liver is considered to be one of the most important organs in the body. Not only does the liver detoxify the blood ,removing a wide range of microorganisms such as bacteria,fungi, viruses and parasites from the blood stream,but it also filters nourishes replenishes and stores blood. For this reason an individual should treat the liver with respect,as it has been abused in the past and is still being abused causing liver dysfunction. These dysfunctions are being caused by weight loss diets,high excessive high impact aerobics,toxic drugs,such as diuretics,laxatives and appetite suppressants,and even stomach stapling. Also the foods we eat have pesticides and hormones added during production and must be metabolized by the liver before they can be excreted. An individual cannot possibly properly excrete these toxins when the liver is not functioning properly and this can cause a number of ailments that are not always recognized right away. Many of these ailments and are liver related and can be reduced or eliminated when the liver is functioning properly. Doing a liver detox diet or giving the liver a good cleanse will usually ensure that the it will start to properly function once again. The liver detoxification should not last for more than 10 days at one time,because the body also needs time to rebuild and to rest. Start by drinking plenty of purified water during any detox program, get daily excercise, and get a minimum of 20 minutes of sunshine every day. Hot lemon juice and purified water taken in the morning first thing begins to clean the toxins in the liver,while the lemon also lemon breaks up any phlegm in the body. One of the most common liver detoxes is done with milk thistle. This herb can be taken for at least a month or so.Not only does it detoxify the liver ,but it also builds it as well. The liver filter, like any filter, needs to be cleansed regularly, and it is much easier and safer to do it everyday,rather than every so often. One way to keep the liver regularly cleansed is to adopt a healthy daily eating pattern and add antioxidant vitamins like vitamin C ,beta- carotene, and even vitamin E to protect the liver. Calcium ,trace minerals and B-vitamins help, in the elimimnation of heavy metals and other toxins. Finally lipotropic agents like betaine,choline,methionine,folic acid,vitamin B6 and B12 to help move the flow of fat and bile to and from the liver.
