Detox Diet Fruit



What is a fruit detox?

A detox diet fruit diet is exactly that. A diet consisting only of fresh fruits and of course water.

Fruit can be used a a natural replacement stimulant, replacing refined sugar, caffeine, diet pills, and often even smoking.

The detoxification is achieved from the acids in the fruits. The best fruits to use are any citrus fruits, grapefruit, pineapple and even tomatoes, but any fruits will do.

The only disadvantage to a diet consisting only of fruit is that it does not provide the body with enough nutrients to function properly.

How long should I do this detox?

This fruit only type of detox diet, if it is chosen for a quick detox should only be done for a short period of time, not usually longer than 1 to 3 days.

If this kind of a detox diet is carried on too long,there can be detremental effects to the body since it will starve the body of essential nutrients,(vitamins and minerals), fat and even protein.

Supplement with Vitamins & Minerals

If an individual would like they can also supplement it with a vitamin and or mineral suuplement to get some more nutrients in the diet.

vegetarians will often eat a variety of seeds and nuts, tofu, and soy products to get the extra protein they need in their diets.

There is another alternative to doing just a short term fruit only detox.

When should fruit be eaten?,/p>

Fruit should be eaten first thing in the morning with nothing else but water.Eat little bits at a time until around noon.

After that you can introduce other foods (preferably healthy) into your diet, allowing for a more nutritious diet.

This type of detox can be done over a longer period of time and still achieve the same result at the end.
