1 Day Detox Diet




What is the purpose of the 1 day detox?

The 1 day detox diet is mainly designed to flush toxins from your body and your liver. This is called the One Day Fast Track Detox. An individual can lose anywhere from 5-10 pounds, during this one day fast.

This diet needs to be followed in three stages: The seven-day pre-detox., one-day juice fast, and three-day post detox stage. After completion of this third stage you should have improve liver & colon function, and an increase in your energy levels.

It is Important to follow the 1 day detox diet exactly in order for it to work properly. During the first seven days before your one day detox you should consume at least 1 – 3 servings of any of these foods( Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, leafy green vegetables, asparagus, artichoke, beets, celery, lemons, limes, oranges, garlic, onions, eggs, and whey protein.

At least one food or supplement such as ground flaxseeds, apples, pears, berries, carrots & powdered psyllium husks. Two tablespoons of flaxseed or olive oil. Two servings of lean protein & enough purified water to equal half your bodyweght in oz.

Foods to avoid

Try to avoid foods like sugar, artificial sweeteners, alcohol, caffeine, over-the counter drugs, carbohydrates bread, flour, pasta, rice,etc.

Avoid soy protein isolates and other processed soy products like protein bars or shakes. Also try to avoid any products containing gluten like barley, wheat and rye products.

Stage 2

The second stage involves drinking a cup of fluid every hour starting from when you wake up.

Every other hour you have to consume a juice that is a mixture of unsweetened cranberry juice, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and finally you will need a herb called stevia. This can be found at your local health food store.

The juice is made by boiling the cranberry water and then simmering over low heat for approximately 20 minutes,while adding the ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cool the mixture while adding the orange juice,lemon juice and stevia.

What to do when you wake up?

When you wake and when you go to sleep,you must also take either the powdered psyllium husks (1 or 2 teaspoons) or 2 or 3 tablespoons of the ground flaxseeds with a glass of water or with your juice mixture. Make sure that you keep exercise to a minimum.

Stage 3

The third stage is exactly like the 7 day pre detoxstage except that you also need to consume at least one daily serving of organic, raw sauerkraut or non fat or low fat yogurt with live, active cultures. This will help restore the good bacteria in your body.

This 1 day detox diet actually turns out to be an 11 day detox and following this you should return back to a healthy diet. Again as with any detox,you should consult with a medical professional before proceeding.
